SOLVED QUESTIONS on CURRENT ELECTRICITY
In this post we will solve some questions on current electricity.
Q. Charge of 90 Coulomb pass through a conductor in time interval (\(1\over 2\)) minute. Find the current flowing through the conductor.
Ans:
We have, I=\(charge\over time\)
Charge = 90 coulomb
time=\(1\over2\)minute=\(60 \over 2\)second=30s
Therefore, I=\(90\over30\)A=3A
Q. The cross section area of two conductors are 0.2 cm2 and 0.4cm2 . If 3600 coulomb pass through each conductor in 1 hour, in which conductor will current flow greater?
Ans:
Current of a conductor represents the amount of charge passing through a cross-section area of the conductor in unit time.
Current=I=\(charge\over time\)
Here, 3600 coulomb pass through each conductor in 1 hour.
So, the current flow through each conductor is same, the value will be
=I=\(3600C\over 1h\)=\(3600C\over 3600s\)=1A
